Oliver Perez racked up an impressive total of 13 strikeouts as the Dublin
Pubcrawlers beat the Detroit Iron Gloves by a score of 6 to 1.
Perez(7-7) had a solid outing for Dublin. He went 7 innings surrendering 7
hits and 1 walk lowering his ERA from 5.13 to 4.89. The pitchers took over
after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.
Jon Garland(9-7) took the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 6
runs in 3 and 2/3 innings. Perez was humble when questioned about his
performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches this afternoon.
But, I had great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That
was an extremely well called game!'
